Worst disability friendly experience ever

I’m a wheelchair user and I booked an accessible twin bedroom for my support worker and myself for one night. Today I arrived to the hotel at 9:00pm and they said that they don’t have accessible twin rooms in this property and the asked me to move an another property. However, there is no accessible transportation in Rome, it is almost midnight and I’m still in my wheelchair waiting for a solution. I asked them to have an additional room as they have availability and the has refused to support me and my condition multiple times. It’s a total lack of respect, compassion and humanity what they are doing with a customer with a disability. Definitely not recommended.

they put me in a dungeon-like a tiny room with poor lighting and a slanted roof that i hit when i stand up in parts of the room. it has a small window, but it had an inner curtain and drapes, but the inner curtain does not draw, so you can never get a fully unobstructed view of the outside. and, a good thing too, because if you did, you'd see a little enclave inacessible from my room that itsself has walls. so i am in a dungeon with a small window that opens up onto walls. there are ants on the floor. it's hot in here. i have decades of history with sheratons and then marriot brand hotels. i have been ambassador elite for most of a decade. i am currently titanium elite. i am here for a brief time and will have to muscle through jetlag whilst here. having almost no access to natural sunlight will not make things easier. i would never stay here again and you shouldn't either. check my history on this site, you will see i don't write reviews. the last ones appear to be from 2013 and were basically positive. i'm currently a titanium elite with marriott/sheraton, but have been ambassador elite for the better part of a decade, and have traveled millions of miles over the last 15+ years. this is a dissappointing room in any business class hotel - marriott, sheraton, hyatt, hilton, etc. oh, and the kicker: they said they 'upgraded' me!

Had a beautiful stay at this lovely property. The reception team, Isabelle & one more lady welcomed us(43 guests) with a very polite & generous smile! & not to forget the amazing breakfast spread..just Wow! Also the housekeeping lady was very well mannered & courteous...Wish we could stay couple of days more...Thank you!

Daniel Vittorio and Flávio are the best receptionists in the world. The Sheraton gave me a custom birthday cake, hands down the best hotel in Europe and I’ve been in many. These two deserve a raise Definitely will be coming back Lots of love for everyone!
